The first summer at Sodium has been incredible! To be able to engage as families and see the community enjoy time together has been terrific. We want to thank each of you for your part, and ask that you continue to spread the word about all that God is doing through this new organization as we reach out and invest in the lives around us.
This Fall will be another amazing season at Sodium. God has blessed us with incredible partnerships and new programming opportunities that will allow us to better serve the music community, education community, and those that are less fortunate. Details will be announced real soon, but we ask that you consider how you would like to be a part of this next phase. It will take all of us! We will need additional volunteers to serve on a monthly basis, and we will need additional gifts to fund our art programming and make it possible to serve families that can’t afford the Sodium experience. Please let us know how you would like to help (volunteers@sodiuminc.com). We look forward to enjoying the end of the summer with you and celebrating an incredible Fall season!

Summer is almost here! Wow, there is so much planned at Sodium and we are having a blast celebrating graduation parties – from the pre-schoolers on up – with you! Please check out the website for updates on MINI-Camps. This is great chance for you and your kids to hang out with Art, Music, and Science Instructors from all over the community. Also, the summer concert series will be starting in June. Look for more updates on our FaceBook page to find out when you and your family can come enjoy some music, movies, or dance on Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy your summer! We look forward to seeing you soon.

April 24th, 2011
April has been an extremely fruitful month! We are amazed at the generosity and leadership in our local community. Today ten churches had nearly 500 people come to worship our savior at Sunrise and 10am – together! He is Risen!! The unity and appreciation for all denominations worshiping together was incredible! Several teachers came together and had over 600 people show up to Sodium last Friday for a songwriter’s family night – they raised nearly $25,000 for the Johnsons (Story Here). Another family was able to raise $8,000 for an overseas adoption; more was raised for Japan. Wow! Thank you Franklin for your creativity on how to use this venue for God’s kingdom and love on the families around us – and abroad!
We are planning MINI-Camps for June-August. These will be focused on art, music, science, photography and more – Tuesday-Thursday 9am-12pm. Sign-ups will begin during early May. Also – the family nights are getting booked – stay tuned to Facebook for great concerts, workshops, and more for your family (Link Here)
Many have asked – “How else can I help?” Please continue to spread the word, bring new friends, and donate when you can. Sodium is still struggling to get build-out expenses paid back as quickly as possible. The project took longer than planned and cost more than planned, leaving us with less operational revenue than we had planned for, but more build-out costs – putting us in a tight cash situation – so tight that we are missing payments to contractors and payroll. The good news is that God had provided some amazing partnerships to provide long-term stability for Sodium that will enable us to explode in late 2011; but April, May, and Early June are going to be Very, Very difficult. If you or your business can help pitch in, or sponsor families that can’t afford memberships it’d be a huge help (Sodium is 501c3 Non-Profit). We want to give more and more free memberships to families that can’t afford the Sodium experience. We are also in need of a keyboard, monitors/lights for the stage, mic stands, A/V Amplifiers, High-chairs, 12’ spiral slide, and large ficus trees to finish off our Indoor Park. If you have any leads on any of this equipment it would be Much appreciated.
Once again, we are wowed about all God is doing through this community, and Sodium. Thank you for your Huge part!

The first two and a half months of being open have been nothing but miraculous. Literally 1000s of families have been visiting, many are coming 3 and 4 times a week; meeting friends for the first time, taking classes, enjoying concerts, and many times staying for hours. This is exactly what we feel God had in mind and we want to say Thank You Franklin, and Middle TN for all you are doing to make this an increbible place for our community to engage and connect.
This month our Enrichment Programs have more than tripled. From art classes (beginner & advanced), to Piano & Guitar, carpentry and gardening, to Men’s and Women’s topical studies, the options are limitless. We also have five churches discussing strategic partnerships with Sodium, as well as using the space weekly – wow, this is about to get Real fun. If there is something you want to share or teach, please let us know!

It has been an incredible first month at Sodium. Thank you all for coming out and sharing life together. Wow! Please become a Facebook Fan to keep up with all of the daily specials, updates, events and more. (Updated Schedule)
Sodium is in need of financial assistance to get through these critical first phases of operation and build-out. As a board we have reviewed all of the construction invoices and have found that many parts of the project went over budget due to last minute changes required to meet code. If you or anyone you may know can assist through a corporate sponsorship or non-profit personal donation, it would be much appreciated.
Franklin, thank YOU for making Sodium a huge success in Franklin. Please continue to spread the word and bring friends. God has truly blessed and we believe we are only at the brink of something extremely special in Franklin.
